Happy Friday! What better way to celebrate the end of a week with a list of great things? These are just my opinions, but I’m a pretty good judge of things, especially food and fitness things.. Give them a try!
Popcorners Kettle Flavor – I bought these one week as a snack for a cheat meal night… and was instantly hooked on them. I LOVE salty snacks, but these combine both salty and sweet, with a rice cake / chip texture. AMAZING. The only downside to them is that they’re only available at Costco in a giant bag (I’ve been checking every regular grocery store I enter for a normal sized bag). Why is this a problem? Try them and you’ll understand.
Beats Wireless Headphones – This is likely the priciest item I’ll ever include on one of my lists, but I truly can’t overlook mentioning them because they’ve made training immensely better! I originally bought Kyle a pair for his birthday and after listening to him rave about them for weeks, then him listening to me debate if I should suck it up and buy my own pair, his family gave them to me for Christmas. The sound is amazing – added bonus is that they block out other noise such as people talking to you and the crap music the gym plays. Even better, there’s no cable to get in your way while you’re training, cause no one wants to stop mid-rep to shift a cable, right? Anyhow, totally worth the cost.
Our puppies – We finally brought the little monsters to the house for good! It’s been 8 months without them, and I’m happy to say they’ve settled in well to the new house. They might drive us crazy sometimes (a lot), but they’re our kids and I missed them so much. And, just look at how cute they are together:
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara – Anyone who really knows me knows that I’m fully obsessed with having long, huge eyelashes… I don’t know why. I just think they’re amazing. So, I’m constantly trying different mascaras to find the best one – and this is what I keep coming back to. Short of gluing on false eyelashes everyday or getting extensions on a regular basis (yes, I’ve tried it), this is the next best thing.
Healthy cereal creation – If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve likely already seen this, so I apologize for the duplicate info. BUT, this is honestly so good, I want people to know about it. Skip those sugary cereals and go for this instead:
- 2 plain rice cakes, crumbled in a bowl
- Vanilla almond milk (e.g. Blue Diamond) *amount can vary for your ideal consistency
- Protein powder (e.g. Cellucor Cinnamon Swirl or Gaspari PB Cookie Dough) *optional*
- 1/2 cup of berries
- Combine everything in a bowl, stir together and add berries – enjoy!
Have a wonderful day, and let me know if you try any of these things, or if you already love them! XO
Heading to Costco today, so will try the Pop Corners for Phil (always looking for a healthy snack). Totally agree re: mascara. Love the pic of the fur babies….soooooo classy Ashleigh..hahaha
The puppies are so cute when they’re sleeping! LOL. Lulu always finds a way to cuddle Joe.
