I’ve been slacking lately…. but I figure I have a good enough excuse.  We got the keys to our new house on Friday afternoon, and have spent pretty much every waking moment there doing demo. We had a lot of great help on Saturday, and managed to make some major progress. Today was productive, but with just two of us working on slower projects, it didn’t seem as exciting – can’t beat knocking down walls and tearing up carpet.  In all honesty though, it’s a workout!

Due to the fact that I figure most people don’t want to hear all the dull details of the renovation, I thankfully have something good to post about – a product review! This is mostly going to interest women, but hey, some guys might find this helpful too.

I saw this product through Instagram and ordered it immediately. For the longest time I wore workout gloves to protect my engagement / wedding ring, but then I “temporarily misplaced” them (i.e. totally lost – I don’t know how I do this). Kyle said it was a sign that I just had to toughen up my “girly” hands, so rather than buy new gloves, I sucked it up and have been working on my callouses. However, I felt guilty every time I thought about my ring getting damaged – then I found the Ring Cozy!

It’s a protective band made of water-proof neoprene which you just slide over your ring. It’s marketed for the gym, swimming, playing sports, or when working with your hands – anything where you’re worried your ring will get damaged or could easily fall off.

I wore it on Saturday for my shoulder workout and it was perfect. The inside is grippy, so it stays in place, and it’s thin enough to not bother you. I’ll definitely be wearing it for every workout from now on – with the good intention of keeping it in an inside, zippered pocket in my gym bag so I don’t lose it.
